Parking

  1. You can park in a small car park at the end of Brimble Street and then take a 10 metre walk over grass to a concrete path.

  2. You can park in a large car park off of Bowker Street, which is a longer walk (approx. 60 metres), over grass and some concreted area.

  3. You can park on Balmoral Avenue (which is a residential street, so please be mindful of our neighbours) and take a 30 metre walk over paved/ concrete paths.

Cycling

You can bring your bike inside the garden and lock it up.

Bus/train

You can catch busses along Diagonal Road and Brighton Road and get to the garden after a 15 minute walk or take the Seaford line train and get off at Warradale or Hove and walk for 15-20 minutes.

Other

Toilets

We have access to public toilets located on the other side of the oval, so please be mindful that it is a 300 metre walk over grass.

Paths

Our main paths are a fine compacted sand, suitable for walkers or wheelchairs. These paths will take you across the garden and to the main gathering area under the pergola that is a brick surface.

Fragrance free + Organic

We’re an organic garden, so you don’t need to worry about any synthetic fertisliers or pesticides here. Some of our organic applications can still smell a bit strong and funky at times, but we don’t use them often - only when the plants need extra love.

We have plans to put a “fragrance free” sign at the front of our gate.

Garden design

So, in practice our garden looks a little different from how we first planned. We still have the main paths that you can see here and the pergola area too.
