Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Notice is hereby given that the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) for North Brighton Community Garden (Holdfast Bay Community Gardens Inc.) is coming up. We’d love for you to join us.
Date: Saturday 7 November 2026
Time: 10:30am
Location: North Brighton Community Garden, Bowker St, North Brighton SA
We need garden members to attend the AGM to ensure we have enough garden members to hold the AGM. Please come along and support the garden.
AGM will include:
Confirmation of the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting.
Chairperson Report and Financial Report.
Election of office holders and committee members.
Opportunity for suggestions or question about the garden.
Important Committee Nominations at the AGM
As part of the AGM, a new committee will be nominated for the upcoming year. We strongly encourage you to think about joining the committee. We are looking for new committee members who can share the responsibilities and introduce innovative ideas for managing the garden. We need new committee members to learn/take on leadership roles. This will help future proof the committee and the garden.
The more committee members we have, the better we can distribute tasks and reduce the burden on our existing committee members. Please reach out to us if you would like more information on how you can get involved with the committee.
We are now seeking nominations for the below positions to join and return to our committee:
Chairperson - held by Beau
Vice chairperson - [vacant]
Secretary - held by Lisa
Treasurer - held by Jay
Vice treasurer - [vacant]
Memberships - held by Miranda
Plot holders - held by Gloria
General committee members - held by Kiki, Chris, Deb, Shel, Sam and Sarah
If you're running for a spot on the committee for the first time, you'll need another member to nominate you. Please return the attached nomination form (signed by yourself and the member) to northbrightoncg@gmail.com prior to the meeting.
Special Post-AGM Event: Iced Tea Demo & Morning Tea
Following its huge popularity at the Spring Open Day in October, Beau will be running an iced tea making demonstration at the end of the AGM. Be sure to stick around to taste-test and pick up some great tips!
We look forward to seeing you there as we reflect on the past year and plan for the future of our community garden.
