Sensory Garden Refresh - Working Bee

Our sensory garden is ready for a much-needed refresh, and we’re thrilled to have received a Community Chest Grant from the City of Holdfast Bay to make it happen.

The refresh will involve:

Replanting the herb spiral with plants that are edible or can be used in teas

Removing plants that are past their best and replanting with plants that fit into the sensory experience

Removing the damage timber sleepers in the path and replacing with new gravel

Building an arbour to create an entry way to the Sensory Garden, this then will have a climbing plant

Community artworks and new signage

Sourcing a curve concrete bench - let us know if you know of one looking for a new home

Introducing a water feature

We are having the first Sensory Garden refresh working bee on Sunday. Autumn is a great time to plant while the soil still has some warmth, so we are keen to get started.
